Year 6 is a year of growing independence, and the last step before the move to Year 7 and a new school for many students. Our structured programme builds Maths, English and Science confidence with real Kiwi examples, from exchange rates on a holiday to the phases of the Moon.
Key Topics Covered:
- Maths: numbers to 1,000,000, integers, ratios and rates, algebra and surface area.
- English: novels, informational and persuasive writing, media literacy and debate.
- Science: biodiversity, circuits, flight, and Earth, Sun and Moon.
Parent Tip:
Help your child build routines for Year 7: a weekly planner, a quiet homework spot and a short daily read. We make sure each idea clicks before moving on.
