Year 4 English is where children read to learn and write to persuade. Our programme builds comprehension, grammar and clear writing in an encouraging space, ready for the step up to Year 5.
Key Topics Covered:
Word study and vocabulary, comprehension of fiction and nonfiction, grammar and NZ spelling, narrative, opinion and report writing, poetry, media literacy and oral presentations.
Parent Tip:
Read together for fifteen minutes each night and talk about the characters' choices. Our tutors suggest books at your child's level, including picks from your local library.
