Grade 4 English is where children read to learn and write to persuade. Our program builds comprehension, grammar and clear writing in an encouraging space, with provincial assessments such as BC's FSA in view.
Key Topics Covered:
Word study and vocabulary, comprehension of fiction and nonfiction, grammar and Canadian spelling, narrative, opinion and report writing, poetry, media literacy and oral presentations.
Parent Tip:
Read together for fifteen minutes each night and talk about the characters' choices. Our tutors suggest books at your child's level, including picks from your local public library.
